SCROLL
Why your clips keep missing

A transcript can't hear you.

Every AI editor on the market today works the same way. It transcribes your video, reads the text, and guesses which sentences might make good clips. That's why the clips miss. On paper, a sentence can flow perfectly. On screen, it's flat.

A transcript doesn't know you raised your voice because this was the point. It doesn't know you slowed down so the room would take notes. It doesn't see you lean in, doesn't catch the grin before the story turns, doesn't understand that the pause after the punchline is the punchline landing.

Great speakers control tone, pace, and silence on purpose. It's the whole craft. Editing that ignores delivery throws the craft away and keeps the words.

Reads fine. Plays flat.
Transcript-picked clips look good on paper and die on the feed. The words were never the reason a moment works.
Silence treated like garbage.
Text-based tools either leave every dead gap in or strip every pause out, including the ones doing the heavy lifting.
The wrong take wins.
When you say something three times, transcript tools keep the first complete sentence. Not the take where you finally nailed it.
The pitch, in five seconds

Same moment. Only one tool sees it.

Toggle between how a transcript-based editor reads a video and how CutReel reads the same seconds of footage. The difference is the whole product.

before that moment, i was doing what everyone told me to do.

so i quit and built something myself.
00:49.1
that was the turning point for everything that came after.
The transcript-based tool sees a complete grammatical sentence. It clips it because the text flows. On tape it lands flat. The whole moment was in what the sentence didn't say.

↑ FORWARD LEAN
ENERGY PEAK +42% on the word "realized"
SLOW EMPHASIS across "the whole industry was wrong"
2.1s PAUSE — KEPT after "wrong" · punchline landing
VISUAL ENGAGEMENT 88 · eyebrows raise, forward lean, gaze reengages
CutReel sees the moment the interview turned. Energy peaks, slow-emphasis run, a two-second pause the speaker meant to hold, and a forward lean at the same beat. That's what gets clipped. That's what plays.
How it works

It edits the way a great human editor does. Just faster.

STEP 01
It watches and listens, not just reads.

Upload your long-form video. CutReel analyzes every second across multiple signals at once. What you said, how you said it, how loud, how fast, where your energy spiked, where you deliberately slowed down, what your face and body were doing while you said it.

STEP 02
It trims all the fat.

Filler words cut. Dead silence tightened, never butchered. Pauses that carry weight stay. Pauses that kill momentum go. The result flows like it was edited by someone who was in the room.

STEP 03
It keeps your best take.

Said it twice? Rambled into a retake? CutReel detects repeated ground and keeps the version with the best delivery. Not the first one. Not the longest one. The one that lands.

STEP 04
It mines the whole recording for clips.

One episode becomes a stack of vertical, short-form clips. Each one is selected because the delivery peaks, the energy holds, and the moment stands on its own. Captions, reframing, and formatting for every platform included.

What we see that they don't

Signals our competitors can't see.

Vocal energy peaks
When your volume and intensity climb, you're emphasizing something. That's a clip candidate, even if the sentence looks ordinary in text.
Deliberate slow-downs
Speakers slow down when they want the audience writing it down. Transcript tools can't tell slow-and-powerful from slow-and-boring. We can.
Tonality shifts
Sarcasm, sincerity, tension, release. The same words in a different tone are a different moment. We edit the moment, not the words.
1.4s
Silence with intent
The pause before the reveal. The beat after the punchline. We measure whether silence is building tension or losing the audience, and cut accordingly.
Facial expression & body language
The lean-in, the grin, the eyebrow raise before the story turns. Visual delivery is half the performance. We're the only edit that watches it.
Retake awareness
We detect when you covered the same ground twice and score each pass on delivery, keeping the take that flows, not the take that came first.
Transcript-based tools edit what you said. CutReel edits how you said it.
The honest comparison

Same footage. Different reads.

The gap isn't features. It's what the tool is actually looking at.

Transcript-based editors CutReel
What it analyzes Text only. Text plus voice, energy, silence, and facial expression.
How it picks clips Sentence flow. Keyword match. Grammatical completeness. Delivery peaks. Where hook and performance land in the same beat.
Silence handling Delete all pauses. Or leave every pause in. Context-aware. Tension-building silence stays. Dead air goes.
Retake selection First complete take wins. Best-delivery take wins. First take doesn't even make top three sometimes.
Shows its reasoning Black box. Trust the algorithm. Every cut cites the signal. Energy spike, tonal shift, expression change.
Emphasis in captions LLM guesses which word to highlight based on the text. Highlights the word the speaker actually hit. We have the prosody data. They don't.
B-roll placement Timed to keyword matches, or dropped in at random intervals. Placed where the delivery sags. B-roll fills the flat spots, not the punchlines.
One recording in. A month of content out.

Drop in a 60-minute episode. Walk away with a month of posts.

A tightened master cut with the fat trimmed and the flow intact. A stack of vertical clips built for short-form, reframed and captioned. Every clip picked by a system that knows the difference between a good sentence and a good moment.

Built for people whose delivery is the product

Four workflows we ship for.

Podcasters & interview shows
Publish the episode. Flood the feeds. Move on.

You already made the content. The interview ran 80 minutes and the conversation was good. Now comes the part that eats your week. Finding the moments, cutting the fat, clipping for every platform. CutReel hands you a tightened episode and a stack of clips picked by how the conversation actually sounded. Laughs, tension, energy shifts and all.

Speakers, coaches & course creators
Your craft is delivery. Finally an editor that treats it that way.

The pause you hold before the big idea. The drop in your voice that makes a room lean in. Transcript tools erase all of that and keep the words. CutReel is the first editor that treats your delivery as the asset it is, and clips the moments where your performance peaks.

Agencies & video editors
Automate the grunt work. Keep the taste.

Filler-word passes and retake hunting are the hours your clients don't want to pay for and your editors don't want to do. CutReel delivers a reviewed-and-reasoned rough cut plus clip candidates with receipts. Your editors start at the judgment call instead of the timeline scrub.

Marketing & content teams
Turn the webinar archive into a pipeline.

Webinars, founder talks, product deep-dives, all-hands worth sharing. Long-form is where your best material already lives. CutReel turns the archive into a short-form pipeline without hiring a clip team.

The math

Punch in your numbers.

Rough-cut editing eats billable hours. The tool eats them for you. Move the sliders. Watch the ROI.

How this is calculated

Rough-pass editing on long-form typically runs ~4× realtime (filler removal, best-take selection, silence tightening). We assume CutReel automates the first pass; the editor still reviews the output (about 0.5× realtime). Savings = manual pass hours minus review hours, valued at your editor rate. Numbers are honest averages, not "up to" claims. Real savings scale with footage complexity and your workflow.

Why we built this

We got tired of editors that couldn't hear.

We make content. We've sat through the same workflow you have. Record something great, feed it to an AI editor, and watch it clip the wrong moments for reasons no human editor would ever give. The sentence was complete. The keyword matched. The text flowed.

Meanwhile the actual best moment of the episode, the one where the guest's voice cracked, or the room went silent, or the host leaned in and slowed way down, sat unclipped. Because on paper, it didn't look like much.

Speakers spend years learning to control tone, pace, and silence. Audiences respond to delivery before they process a single word. So we built the editor that pays attention to the same things audiences do. It watches. It listens. It notices.

That's the whole idea. It turned out nobody had built it yet.

Frequently asked

The questions everyone has before signing up.

How is this different from other AI clip tools?

Every other tool edits from the transcript. It reads your words and guesses which sentences make good clips. CutReel analyzes the audio and video itself. Tone, energy, pacing, silence, facial expressions. It picks moments because they play well, not because they read well.

Will it cut out pauses I put in on purpose?

No. That's the point. We measure whether a pause is carrying weight (tension, emphasis, a beat landing) or killing momentum (dead air, lost train of thought). Intentional silence stays. Dead air goes.

What happens when I say something multiple times?

CutReel detects retakes and repeated riffs, scores each pass on delivery and flow, and keeps the best one. You get the take where you nailed it, not the first take that formed a complete sentence.

What do I get from one upload?

A trimmed long-form master cut with filler, dead air, and weak retakes removed. Plus a set of vertical short-form clips, reframed and captioned, ready for every platform. Every cut cites the signal that produced it, so you're reviewing an editor's reasoning, not a black box.

Do I stay in control of the edit?

Always. Every cut is a suggestion you can review, adjust, or reject. CutReel does the grunt work and shows its reasoning. You'll see why it flagged a moment (energy spike, tonal shift, expression change). You keep the taste. It does the labor.

What formats and platforms are supported?

Input: MP4, MOV, WAV, MP3 up to 5 GB per file. Recordings up to 3 hours per file (longer files supported on Pro Editor and Agency).

Output: 1080p vertical short-form (1080 × 1920) on Creator; 4K master cuts on Studio and above; Premiere / Resolve / FCP XML with marker layers on Pro Editor and Agency.

Publishing: direct to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook / Meta Reels, X, and LinkedIn.

Is my footage private?

Yes. Your footage is encrypted at rest and in transit. It's stored only long enough to process and serve back to you. Deleted from our systems 90 days after your last access, or immediately on request.

Your footage is never used to train models. Not ours, not any third party's. If we ever change that policy, we'll ask you first with an explicit opt-in and you can decline without losing service.

What happens after my free 60 minutes?

Your account stays open. Your analyzed clips stay accessible. You just can't upload more footage until the next billing month resets or you upgrade to a paid plan. No surprise charges, ever.

Your last episode is full of clips you didn't see.

Upload it. CutReel will show you what a transcript never could.
